The year of weddings

This year has been a big year for weddings and babies :) Bryan and I had so much fun at all these weddings and we're looking forward the other two weddings this year!
The Slattery wedding was the most recent wedding we went to. It was June 26th in Seattle. The weekend was completely amazing. Bryan and I had so much fun. We were able to see the city, which was great because Bryan hadn't seen it before. The day after the wedding a large group of us went white water rafting. The sights were breath taking.









The Ricker wedding was May 29th 2010. The wedding was perfect and was such a wonderful location. The bride and groom are both close friends of ours so it was extra special.


The first wedding of the year belongs to the Powell wedding. It was so much fun!!Here are some high lights of the night!

Bridal shower!!

My bridal shower was April 11th but I've been so busy in school that I haven't had a chance to write about it. It was amazing :) There were so many amazing people that made it. I felt so loved! All my favorite ladies were in one room and I could feel their positive energy and love for Bryan and I. It was wonderful to know that Bryan and I had so much support. Candace and my mom made all the yummy food. They did a wonderful job...people still are talking about how great the food was. I was also very happy that we were able to play flip cup :) Although we didn't have beer, we got to play with red wine...It's how you play when you're trying to be fancy I guess.
Thank you everyone!! You made me feel very speacial!

Wedding dress arrival!!

I'm so thrilled that my dress has arrived :) Back in August I fell in love with a beautiful dress that was 1800 bucks...sadly that was wayyyy too much for my budget. I went home and instantly started to search the internet. Thats when I found netbride.com I love them!! I found my dress of only 1000 bucks and it came a month earlier then expected :) I'm so so so happy!!!
Sorry folks, all you get to see is the pretty box...72 more days until the big day!

Wedding chain update

As the wedding date is getting closer, our wedding chain is getting much shorter! It's really exciting to see the chain only have three months left on it. These are a couple videos and pictures of our updated wedding chain :) ENJOY!

our first GIFTS!

A couple weeks ago Bryan and I got our first gifts in the mail. Orignally we weren't going to open them. Bryan wanted us to wait until after we got married...Like I could really wait 4 months? I couldn't keep my eyes of the Macys boxes. Finally Bryan agreed that we could open them. I ripped open the boxes super fast. Wine glasses and Beer mugs!!! The perfect gift for the both of us :) Later I found out that the gifts were bridal shower gifts anyway, so I was suppose to open them. Thanks Natasha! OUr first gifts were perfect gifts!

Whats reality?

It's been a while since I've blogged because so many things have been happening...It's really hard to keep up! The wedding plans are going great! About a month ago Bryan and I auditioned for a reality TV show called 'Battle of the wedding planners' on TLC. We didn't want to tell anyone until it was a for sure thing...It's been well over a month and we haven't heard from them so We're confident to say that we didn't get it. This news has left us with a sigh of relief. We loved the idea of having a reality show film our wedding and the 10,000 additon to our current budget would have been Fab. The problem with the whole idea is we began to feel more like our wedding was 'just' a TV show and not our wedding. It felt like a big production. We only get to do this wedding thing once. Even though we're not going to have Jack Johnson sing our first song live, we're still going to have a great wedding on a real budget, not a reality budget.

This or that...

oh Man! Time is ticking and the end of this journey is rapidly coming to an end. The thoughts I've been pondering need to be turned into actions and decisions. My friend Andrea is also getting married this summer and she showed me her list of things to do. I had her send it to and then I began to add all the things I also need to do...oh gee. I had no idea how many things we still needed to do! 5 months away... We applied for a reality TV show today to help pay for the wedding. Keep your fingers crossed. We are hopeful. We really want to have a great wedding and we also really want to have a great honeymoon. This or that? Roses or Daisies? Fake cake or real cake? Do people really like cake? I wish we could have ice cream.
