LA Shower

My best friend, Sarah, organized a baby shower for Bryan and I up in LA at the Comedy Sportz Theater where we improvise. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate baby Green with our extended CSz family. The theaters patio was filled with some many amazing people. Their love and support for us was overwhelming. Bryan and I talked the entire way home about how lucky we are to have these people in our lives and how lucky baby Green is. Thank you everyone who helped put the shower together! We love you all.
I didn't get very many pictures, here are some...

Our friend, Jessica Williams, surprised us with a visit from NYC. It was so great to see her. It made us feel so special :) It was really fun opening baby gifts with Bryan.

9 Month Maternity pictures

At 33 weeks my friend Andrea took some pictures of my growing belly. It's amazing to see how big it actually gets :) She did an amazing job! I love her.

At 36 weeks (9 months) Mike and Andrea took these maternity photos. I had some maternity photos at 7 months but I really wanted some pictures of my belly once it popped. Boy did it POP! Enjoy!

San Diego Baby Shower

For my San Diego shower my mom and my best friend Andrea threw it at Andrea's house. It was sooo freakin' cute. Since baby Green's nursery is camping theme, my mom and Andrea made the baby shower camping theme. They did such a great job with all the little details. The house was filled with family, new friends, friends that I've had for over 20 years and family friends that have know me since I was a baby. I loved every second of it! I'm a very lucky lady.
Everyone got a mason jar for their drinks.

Instead of cards, people got me baby books and wrote a sweet note inside me and baby Green. It was a great way to get baby Green's book collection started.

Everyone brought a baby picture and we had to guess who each person was. It was really fun to see what everyone looked like a baby :)

We got so many amazing gifts! My mom and dad pitched in and got me my glider for the baby's room. I was so excited because it was the last piece of furniture we needed for the baby's room!
Nancy made these little booties!
Everyone got a chance to decorate a onesie for baby Green.
Some of the yummy desserts!
These were the party favors. Packages of S'mores. Way cute!
These are all the amazing women that came to my shower!
Nancy, mom, Jennie,me, Sue, Jancie and Andrea.
My mother in law and my mom.
Candace, Me and Danielle with our boys. We're looking forward to the future with these little men.
My mom, me, Nathan, Candace and Barbara (Candace's mom)

During the shower my mom put red string on every one's wrist to represent support and love for me, baby Green and Bryan as I got through labor. The women were really interested in supporting my boobs too ;)

9 Month check up

I can't believe it has already been 9 months! We are so excited to see our little man! At the last doctor appointment I was dilated 1 cm and 60% effaced. The doctor said his head was really low. Baby Green is ready to come out and meet everyone but my body is not ready to let him out :) As I think about baby Green being on the outside of my body, I'm mixed with emotions. I'm extremely happy but at the same time I'm going to miss the feeling of being pregnant.

Favorite Spot
Through out the pregnancy baby Green has favored my left side. I'm not sure why but he is always over there. As he gets bigger I've been able to make out his body parts. He keeps his butt and back against the left side of my tummy and his hands and feet push against the right side. A few times he has made his way up into my rib cage. It has caused so much discomfort that while driving I wasn't able to change lanes and had to go forward because I couldn't twist my body! He hasn't been much of a kicker, he just rolls around and pushes up against the sides of my stomach...it's as if he is always stretching :)

Work
I'm still serving tables and Ruby's and I love it. It's the perfect job for a pregnant lady! My manager, Steve, has been nice enough to give me the short shifts (about 3-4 hours) so I'm not on my feet for too long. I get to make money and get some exercise at the same time. Plus, people love a pregnant lady :) The tips are great!

Oh my back!
For me, the worst part about being pregnant has got to be the back pain. My lower back is always in some kind of constant pain. My lower left side is the worst side! I'm constantly trying to get someone to rub it...For my birthday gift my mom took me to Burke Williams for a pregnancy massage. I HIGHLY recommend that to any pregnant woman. It was amazing and helped with some relief.

Labor Classes
Bryan is the type of person that doesn't like classes or meetings of any type. He didn't really want to go to the labor classes but he knew they were important. Fortunately, our teacher was really amazing and had a lot of fun with us. The people in the class were also great and we were happy that we took them. After the classes we felt very prepared for everything. Who knows what can happen on labor day and its best that we prepare for any possibility.

First Book
Since baby's remember what books you read to them when they are in the womb, Bryan and I through it would be a good idea to start reading some books to baby Green before we go to bed. I showed him the book "Go the Fok to Sleep," that we got at the San Diego baby shower. Bryan thought it was so funny so he read the book to the baby. Once we were done reading it, we realized that it was the first book we EVER read to our child...Oh what amazing parents we'll make :)

Orange County Baby SHower

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! Since Bryan and I have friends and family in San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles, we thought it would be best to have smaller/more personal baby showers in each county. Thankfully we had friends and family that we also willing to throw us each shower! Bryan and I felt so overwhelmed with love and support. Baby Green is one lucky baby!

Our first baby shower was at Ruby's Diner in Orange on January 15th. My mother in law, Kathy, and best friend, Jamie did an amazing job and I'm so thankful! The train station was a perfect location for a baby boy themed shower. We had a yummy breakfast with mimosas(or orange juice in champagne glasses)!

All the ladies had to guess how many inches my belly was. Although there was some wild guess, Lauren Murty was closest with 42 inches! The ladies also got to write a special note on a piece of paper to Bryan and I. The notes were put in diapers so that Bryan and I have something encouraging to read when we have to deal with something not so fun :) Such a great idea! We can't wait to read all the notes!

It was so wonderful to be surrounded by such wonderful women in my life. I loved that I got a chance to talk to everyone. I had such a great day and we got many great gifts. We loved the home made blankets and the baby life jacket! I had a group of friends pitch in and get my Crib! Thanks girls, I love it!
